From the town centre you can take the city bus or the little tourist train every half hour

Departure : Funicular railway lower station. As you face the station take the road which disappears behind it to the right. After passing the house called Ste Marie des Neiges, follow the stony path which goes up to the right.
0h30 : Track. At the end of the path, turn left along a larger track leaving the funicular viaduct on the right.
0h40 : Hut - Stretch of smooth water. Dry stone hut for hikers next to a small reservoir to be used in the event of a forest fire.
0h45 : Col des 3 Croix (Pass of the 3 crosses). You may choose to take the path to the left of the 3 crosses and come back to the pass before continuing along the rightmost track past the barrier.
1h10 : Radio antenna. Succession of twisting paths in the middle of tree plantations.
1h30 : Upper station. Panoramic bar-terrace with binoculars available. Take the path to the summit.
1h45 : Observatory. 360° panoramic view. Viewpoint indicator.
2h : Upper station. Follow the same route back

Two permanently practicable tracks : - a sporty descent, classified as black, highly prized by all the downhillers from the region and even from the north of Spain. - just a ride, for the family, taking the cross-country forest track. 5 kilometres downhill and a return to the lower station through the gaves green way. |
